Car Rentr - responsive website

From UX research to UX/UI design...

Project

Creation of a responsive website that would solve major problems...
Car rental websites tend to be "complicated and cluttered".
Too many users drop before the final booking/payment step!

Research & analysis

Through qualitative research I identified conventions to follow along with pain points to avoid.
Methods of research used - Competitive Benchmark, Online Survey, Usability Test, Note Taking,
Affinity Diagram, Customer Journey Map

Usability Test

Interviewing users to identify pain points, positive emotions and potential dropping points.
(software used : Screenflow)

Affinity Diagram

(software used : Sketch)

design

The process involved sketching screen states and creating high-level flows that would solve the problems and erase the pain points typically experienced by users.

Methods of design used - Flow Diagram, Sketching/Lo-Fidelity Prototyping, Med to High Fidelity Prototyping, Usability Testing, Wireframing.

Flow Diagram

Creating high-level flows and subsidiary flows to structure and match the ideal customer journey. (software used : Sketch)

Sketching

Sketching the screen states of the responsive website to test display and low-fidelity prototype.

Prototyping

Designing med-fidelity to high-fidelity prototypes before creating a wireframe with annotations.
(software used : Adobe XD)
